Biography

Creating his first black & white photographs in a darkroom at the age of 8, Guy's path was marked.

Attending Professional Photography School in Paris, he accepted his first job as Professional Photographer at 18, before the end of the course.

Traveling to the far corners of Asia in the 80's, Guy freelanced as photographer for 10 years, resulting in the launch of a formidable collection of magazine style photographs. Consisting principally of portraits, his images capture the true character of the people and spirit of their culture. Examples of his extensive photographic library are categorised under their country of origin.

Guy's love of the ocean allured him to become a scuba diving instructor, and soon to underwater photography and filmmaking. Throughout the 90's, he lived in the tropical islands of the world, developing a special knowledge of marine life behaviour and making photographs of marine creatures. After 10 years in the water observing the marine life, Guy wrote a course called "Fish Behaviour" which was acknowledged  by PADI. His ground-breaking understanding of marine life behaviour, coupled with firm skills in both Directing and Editing, has resulted in incomparable cinematography. His images are unique and stunning, as they strikingly expose the true essence of these captivating creatures.

In 2001, Guy and his wife Anita created "Liquid Motion Film", a small production company specialized in underwater films. In 2002 they released their first 27 minute film, "The Perfect Reef Pilot". Officially selected and Award Nominated at the 'Antibes Underwater Film Festival 2003', (Festival Mondial de l'Image Sous-Marine) the film premiered at the Festival with great success.

The end of 2003 saw the release of "Talking with Fishes", a 52min documentary filmed in the Caribbean for TV broadcasting. Episode 3 of a series of underwater documentary films entitled 'The Reef', 'Talking With Fishes' was awarded the "GOLD REMI AWARD" for Marine Science at the Houston International Film Festival, 'Worldfest', USA.

In 2004, the Internationally acclaimed film quickly collected a string of prominent Awards from Major International Film Festivals; these including 1ST PRIZE, 'BEST DIRECTOR' from the International Underwater Film Festival, Slovakia; 'BEST UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY' from the International Wildlife Film Festival, IWFF Montana and 3RD PRIZE, BEST 'A' GROUP FILM - 'Professional Productions, Broadcast Quality, TV' - from the International Underwater Film Festival Belgrade. The film continues to be screened worldwide.

In 2004, Guy and Anita worked on Episode 1 of the series, 'The Perfect Reef', in Bermuda, supported by scientists at the Bermuda Biological Station for Research. Post Production of 'The Reef' continues in Bonaire, alongside development of a new project involving fluorescence.
